The plan is for the supermarkets tech teams to work alongside Blue Yonder in order to create an autonomous supply chain network with advance machine learning capabilities.
There’s also plans to implement Blue Yonder’s Luminate Platform so that stores will be able to manage perishable goods in a more cost-effective manner as it comes with control tower functionality, providing supply chain visibility, collaboration and orchestration across the entire supply network.
The digital transformation will include over 2,000 stores, all operating under the Sainsbury's, Habitat and Argos brands.
Having a predictive, autonomous and adaptive supply chain powered by world class technology products and Sainsbury's Tech engineering means we can show up for our customers whenever and however they shop with us. Blue Yonder provided a strong balance of advanced capabilities, ML experience and a culture and value set closely aligned to our own, including a commitment to sustainability.
